Delivery
Delivery management
Add delivery methods with clear names, estimated times and fees, then explore search, free delivery, desktop editing, sorting, pagination and deletion.
Add a delivery method
Open Add delivery method
Open Delivery and choose Add delivery method. Delivery methods define the names, estimated times and fees customers can choose at checkout.
Review the method form
The form has three fields: required Name, optional Estimated duration and optional Cost in your store currency. This fictional store uses USD.
Name the delivery option
Enter Standard Delivery in Name. Use a name customers will recognize at checkout. Name must contain a value; leading and trailing spaces are trimmed when saving.
Check the required name
Check Standard Delivery before continuing. Name is the only required field, and Add method becomes available when the name is not blank.
Add an estimated duration
Enter 3–5 business days in Estimated duration · optional. This is display text, so choose a useful estimate. It can be left empty.
Set the customer fee
Enter 3.50 in Cost (USD) · optional. The fee uses the store currency. Use a nonnegative amount; a negative or invalid cost cannot be saved.
Review the free-delivery option
The helper explains Leave empty or enter 0 for free delivery. This example keeps the paid 3.50 USD fee; a blank or zero cost displays as Free in the list.
Check the optional fields
Review 3–5 business days and 3.50 USD. Leaving duration empty is allowed. There is no currency selector in this form.
Review the complete method
Review Standard Delivery, the estimated duration and the customer fee before saving. Cancel closes the form without adding this new method.
Add the method
Choose Add method to save the delivery option. Saving adds a checkout method; it does not create an order. If an error appears, review it before retrying.
Wait for saving
The Add method button changes to Saving… while the request is pending. The dialog stays open until saving succeeds.
Find the saved delivery method
The form closes and Standard Delivery appears in the Delivery list. This example now has two methods: Local delivery and Standard Delivery.
Check the saved fee and duration
Check the 3–5 business days estimate and 3.50 USD customer fee. The existing Local delivery method is Free. On mobile, each method is shown as a card with a Delete action.
Review what customers will see
Delivery names, estimated times and fees appear at checkout. Use these saved method details when reviewing your checkout options.
Delivery features
Search delivery methods
Find a saved name, estimated duration or numeric fee. The Delivery search checks method name, duration and the stored cost without case sensitivity. Searching resets the list to page one. The example searches Standard, same day and 2.5, then clears the field to restore all twelve methods. Searching does not edit a saved option.
Sort the desktop delivery table
Compare names, estimated times and customer fees. On desktop, Delivery method, Estimated duration and Customer pays cycle through ascending, descending and cleared sorting when clicked. The list starts without a sort. Sorting changes the visible table order and does not save the display order used by checkout. Mobile cards have no sortable headers.
Browse method pages
Move through matching methods ten at a time. The default page size is ten. Use the footer’s arrows or page numbers when more methods match than fit on a page. The footer also exposes Rows per page. The matching count includes every matching method. Pagination appears only when that count exceeds the current page size; searching returns to page one.
Edit a method on desktop
Update an existing estimate and checkout fee. In the desktop table, open a method’s dots menu and choose Edit delivery method. Name is required; Estimated duration and Cost are optional. Save changes updates the existing record. Leave cost empty or enter zero for free delivery; negative fees are invalid. The saved display order is preserved. Editing is not exposed on the current mobile cards.
Delete a saved method
Review the selected option before removing it. Desktop provides Delete in the row’s dots menu. Mobile provides a trash button directly on each delivery card. The confirmation shows the method’s name, estimated duration and fee. Cancel keeps it. Delete delivery method removes that method from future available options and cannot be undone.
Check the customer-facing fee
See how saved delivery choices affect checkout. Checkout reads the configured methods in saved display order and initially selects the first. Delivery option appears when more than one method exists, showing its name, formatted fee and optional duration. A method with zero or blank saved cost adds no delivery charge. Pickup · Free is a separate checkout service choice. The example changes only the delivery selection and places no order.
